Interactive - Business Leads Service

This section contains instructions on how to use the Business Leads service of Interactive:
To Begin:
Go to our website www.barbour-abi.com and enter your unique username and password in the quick login box.
This is the main Customer Area. Here you can choose which Active Service you require. Choose “Business Leads” from the control panel to view projects.
If you make changes to your profile and click on the “Save Profile” button, Interactive will ask if you want to save this as a new selection by prompting a pop-up box.
If you click “New” within the prompt box to create a new profile you will be presented with the following illustration.

Enter your new profile name and click “Save”. You can save as many new profiles as you wish. Interactive will then alert you that your new profile has been saved.
Click “List search results” on the control panel. If your search returns more than 1000 projects you will see the message in the below scree capture. You must amend your search criteria to return fewer results.
You may also see a message suggesting that the size of your selection could affect the performance or speed of your system. Click on “OK” if you are happy with the amount of leads in your profile. Alternatively, click “Cancel” to return to the edit profile screen.

Below shows a list of the projects in a selection. You can change the order of the projects in the list by clicking on the arrow filters next to each table heading:

To view the details of a project, click on the title of the project in the “Lead Summary” view. New and updated projects are clearly marked with the symbols shown below.

Each project has a unique “Project ID” number. To view a particular project you can enter the ID number in the “Jump to project” box on the control panel.
Situated at the top and bottom of the page are several icons. These icons are explained as follows:
If you click on the Add / view notes button a window will open.
Type in your notes relating to the project and click on the “Save” button.
To view any notes you have added to a project, just click on the Add / view notes button again. This will re-open the pop-up window where you can view and amend your existing notes for the project.

This allows you to Tag a project.
Tagging a project allows you to mark projects ready to be extracted for either exporting or printing. To add a “Tag”, click on a project from your main selection to open it.
Then click on the “Tag/untag” button at the bottom of your screen.
Interactive will alert you when this project has been “tagged” successfully.
Tagged projects will have this symbol to the right of the project summary on the main Lead Summary page. See Fig 20 for where the flag symbol appears on the Lead Summary.
Click to return to your main project list.
You can add as many individual tags as you wish. You may also wish to tag a selection of projects using the “Batch Tag” function. Click on the “Batch tag” button on the control panel of the Lead Summary screen.

Choose the date range of the projects you wish to tag by either typing in the dates or by clicking on the calendar icons and clicking on the relevant date in the calendar window that opens.

Click on “Apply” and all projects in your selection within the specified date range will be tagged.
These tags will remain until you either click “Print selections” or “Extract selections”
If you click on “Print selections” you will see the below message. This indicates that your projects will be sent to your email account in a printable format.

If you click on “Extract selections” you will see the following message below. This indicates that your projects will be sent to your email account in your selected format. (This can be in any of the ABI standard data formats, such as Trackbase compatible format or CSV).

The watch button allows you to set a watch on a project.
A watch request allows you to track the progress of a particular project. To add a “Watch”, click on a project from your main list.
Now click on the “Watch” icon at the bottom of the screen.
Please note: you cannot set watches on projects below £750,000 in value.
Use the drop down menu to choose the type of “watch” you wish to set, as illustrated in the below screen capture.

You can choose to be alerted when a project moves stages, or when a contractor is appointed etc. The “Any Update” option will alert you as soon as any changes are made to the project.
Now click “Send” to complete the set up of your project watch. Interactive will show a message to confirm the watch has been created.
You will be sent an email as soon as the selected project has been updated.
Click “Back” to return to the project.
Click “Return to summary” to return to your main selection of projects.
This eye symbol next to a project indicates that it is being watched.
To view all of your watch requests click on “Watch manager” in the control panel on the left of the screen. You will be taken to a list of the developments you are currently watching.

If you have created more than one profile you will have an additional symbol in your control panel called "Switch Profile".
Select the "Switche Profile" button to see a list of your saved profiles. A pop-up window will open with the “Main Selection” selected by default. In order to change to a different profile, you are required to select it from the list and click on the “Select” button.

The progress indicator bar at the bottom of the page will show you that Interactive is generating your selected profile results.
The title of your selected profile is given at the top of the page next to the “Lead Summary” header. The control panel situated on the left hand side of the screen shows you the breakdown of how many leads you have in the selected profile.

If you wish to delete a profile you have created, click "Edit Profile" and then click "Delete Profile".
The progress indicator bar at the bottom of the page shows that Interactive is deleting your selected profile.
Interactive will confirm the deletion with a message box, as shown below.

Once you click on OK you will be returned to your Main Profile.
