ERR 3: Unable to connect to database when starting application...

This occurs when Trackbase is unable to open the Trackbase database, tb.db.

Please check the database file, tb.db is in the expected location. Clicking Start -> (All) Programs -> Trackbase -> System Information will detail this location. The phrase "FILE DOES NOT EXIST" will be displayed if the database file is missing. If the database file has been deleted, the file will need to be restored from a backup.

If the file exists, you should try starting the database manually. To do so, click Start, Run and for
Trackbase Pro type: c:\tbpro\sqlany50\rtdsk50.exe c:\tbpro\tb.db
Trackbase Lite type: c:\tblite\sqlany50\rtdsk50.exe c:\tblite\tb.db

and click "OK". If you have Trackbase installed to a different directory, adjust the paths accordingly. A Sybase SQL Anywhere window will appear while the database is opening and minimise when complete. This window may take a little while to minimise if a database recovery is necessary. If the window minimises, Trackbase should now work. If not, please contact your Account Manager on 0151 353 3500.
