| The geo2 field is provided to simplify postcode searches. Geo2 is derived from the postcode, by padding the first part of the postcode to four characters as shown in the following examples: L1 becomes L-01 L11 becomes L-11 CH1 becomes CH01 CH64 remains CH64 Using the traditional postcode field to search for project in the centre of Liverpool (L1) would return projects in L11, L12, L13 etc if a wild card is used. The geo2 field overcomes this issue by allowing users to search for L-01. |
