Barbour ABI is the chosen provider of Construction New Orders estimates data to the Office for National Statistics and partner of the Government’s Infrastructure and Projects Authority in providing the National Infrastructure and Construction Pipeline.

      We are looking for a Receptionist to be based at the Head Office in Cheshire Oaks. This role is working part time 3 days per week and reports to the Office Manager. The role is based at the Head Office based at Cheshire Oaks where there is free car parking.

      Job Description

      The primary objective of the Receptionist is to answer a multi-line switchboard quickly and direct calls to their destination without delay. Providing administrative assistance to other departments, greeting visitors, distributing sales leads, handling incoming and outgoing post and ordering company stationery are secondary objectives whilst on reception.

      Role Responsibilities:

      • Answer incoming calls and maintain a rapid response rate according to agreed standards;
      • Use internal database to forward incoming calls to relevant departments and log information on calls received;
      • Communicate and liaise verbally between customers/suppliers/visitors and relevant staff, and interpret and respond clearly and effectively;
      • Order and maintain stocks of relevant office supplies;
      • Perform reception duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner;
      • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant Health & Safety procedures;
      • Perform other routine administrative tasks as assigned and for other departments as required;
      • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.

      Qualifications

      • Good written and verbal communication
      • PC literacy, with experience in in house or bespoke systems would be advantageous
      • Good organisational and time managements skills
      • Able to work under own initiative
      • Attention to detail (accuracy is paramount)
      • To be able to work well under pressure
