Economics In Construction – Our February Content Calendar Roundup

by Ellie Rourke

Our content calendar theme for February was economics in construction. As with every month in our 2022 construction Content Calendar, we want to use this topic to provide your business with advice that will improve  your processes, and ultimately, deliver more profit.

Across February, we crunched the numbers of the construction industry in our Snap Analysis monthly review, and interviewed two leading construction economics experts: our own Chief Economist Tom Hall, and Industry Commentator Brian Green. Tom and Brian delivered their analysis on the factors that are currently driving construction and national economics, and what to expect for the future of the industry.

With wider economic factors becoming more prevalent in business’ planning and strategies, the below content delivers you the best knowledge the industry has to offer on this topic.

An Interview with Brian Green

In our first February article, we interviewed construction economics expert Brian Green. Brian is a Commentator and Analyst for construction and housing, who has over 30 years’ experience in the industry.

Brian also works extensively with Barbour ABI, writing our yearly Home Improvement Report and penning the 8-part Recreative Construction series in 2021.

Filled with insight, Brian shares his opinion on the major challenges that construction has faced in the past 10 years, as well as factors such as digitalisation, Brexit and decarbonisation, that he sees as being of major importance for the future of the construction industry.

An Interview with our Chief Economist Tom Hall

With over a decade of experience, we sat down with Barbour ABI’s Chief Economist Tom Hall as he shares his depth of knowledge of the industry.

Within our 4 question interview, Tom explains why construction plays such a large role in national GDP, as well as why construction businesses need to consider wider economic factors in order to ensure the best chances of making strong strategic decisions.

This Month’s Top 3 Residential Projects

Following the release of our Snap Analysis market review, powered our market leading construction project data and team of economists, we have written a blog which gives you a sneak peek into this month’s top 3 residential projects.

Using the data from our monthly snapshot review which highlights the factors that drive our industry, we reveal project information to showcase the quality of insight our construction leads can provide.

Don’t forget, you can see our entire Content Calendar for 2022. And, if you think you’ve got an idea for something that would work for any of the upcoming months’ topics then give us an email at hello@barbour-abi.com and we would love to discuss it further with you!
